The Sure Bet Program is pleased to announce the release of 2010 Retrofit and New Construction Application forms. 

What:  The Sure Bet Program offers incentives to NV Energy’s Commercial customers to assist them with retrofit and equipment replacement projects that substantially improve electric energy efficiency.  Sure Bet incentives are available to both existing and new construction commercial customers. 

Why:   The Sure Bet Program helps our Commercial customers to save money on their utility bills, improve their facilities, and protect the environment through reduced electric consumption.

When: This year’s Program began on January 1, 2010 and will run through June 15, 2010 in our southern service territory and January 1, 2010 through November 15, 2010 in the northern service territory or until funds are exhausted. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who:   Commercial customers located in NV Energy’s service territories are eligible.

How:   Incentives are offered for most types of electric energy savings projects.  Please refer to Incentive Summary Sheet.  Applications are available on-line and can be emailed or faxed to the Sure Bet program using the information below.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 2010 Program Changes

• Program Date Changes – See Applications and Policies & Procedures. Note: Southern Service Territory Program Year ends on June 15, 2010, and the Northern Service Territory Program Year ends on November 15, 2010.
• Measure Incentive Changes – See Applications and Policies & Procedures
• Incentive Tiers and 50% Project Cost Limit Changes – See Applications and Policies & Procedures
• Project reservation date changed from 120-Day to 90-Day.  Strict enforcement of 90-Day reservation period
• Request for Payment MUST be submitted within 60 days of project completion
• Elimination of $200 LEED Bonus for LEED New Construction project
• Incomplete applications will not be accepted and reviewed – No exceptions. Please refer to required documentation in Applications and Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Applications will only be accepted through Sure Bet Fax, Program Email Address, and Sure Bet Office Mailing Address
• Pre-Notification Applications are required for ALL Custom projects, Prescriptive projects with estimated incentives that exceed $7,500 or expected annual energy savings of 750,000 kWh per year, and ALL Delamping projects.

Application Process

1. Submit Pre-Notification Application (along with ALL required supporting documents) to surebet@nvenergy.com or fax to 702-216-2729. 
2. Sure Bet Team will conduct pre-inspections as necessary.
3. Funding Reserved for project if pre-review is approved.
4. Complete project within 90-Day reservation period.
5. Submit Project Completion Agreement (along with ALL required supporting documents) to surebet@nvenergy.com or fax to 702-216-2729.
6. Sure Bet Team will conduct post inspections as necessary.
7. Incentive check will be issued within 4-6 weeks after NV Energy approval.
