Would you like to make your home more comfortable, energy-efficient and receive a cash incentive for doing so? Make the switch to a more energy efficient system you may lower your energy bill as much as 11-15 percent.
By making the switch to a high efficiency system, not only will you lower your bill, you'll reduce the demand for the resources needed to generate power, which helps preserve our environment. So when you save, everyone saves.
To get your rebate you must:

  1. Ask your preferred HVAC contractor if they are a participant in the Program.
  2. All work and equipment purchases must be completed after January 1, 2010.
  3. If you don't have a contractor you can locate a participating HVAC contractor by calling (877) 411-TEST (8378) . Please read this disclaimer.
  4. The HVAC contractor will perform a diagnostic assessment and estimate on the new equipment.
  5. Have all work completed by the participating HVAC contractor.

What is AFUE ?
A higher AFUE number is better. It measures the amount of heat actually delivered to your house compared to the amount of fuel that you must supply to the furnace. Thus, a furnace that has an 80% AFUE rating converts 80% of the fuel that you supply to heat -- the other 20% is lost out of the chimney.

Replacing Old Equipment: Why it is important?
A central HVAC system is designed to last 12-18 years, so in some cases savings and reliability are limited due to equipment age.  Your HVAC contractor can help you decide when it is time to replace your old equipment with high efficiency equipment before your system breaks down and leaves you in the heat.
