The mission of the NV Energy Diversity Council is to serve as a resource and link between management and employees to educate and promote an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding. By leveraging the diverse talents, perspectives and experiences of all individuals we seek to create an environment where we serve the communities in which we operate and reach our highest level of potential.

Diversity Champions

We are investing in our differences through Diversity Champions. This is a company wide leadership program in which each employee will participate. Diversity Champions is intended to help our employees embrace the reality of differences and recognize the value it brings to NV Energy and each individual. Every employee who completes the course has the right to call themselves a Champion of Diversity. By putting their training into action, our employees will ensure that NV Energy continues to live its commitment to value and respect all aspects of diversity.

The course teaches individuals personal leadership, responsibility and their role in becoming accountable for creating an environment where each person's potential can be unleashed in the organization.The course stresses the importance of defining diversity and its relevance to the day-to-day operation of NV Energy. The curriculum strives to create an environment that ignites the fire and passion in every employee, and encourages individuals to become better leaders in their personal and professional lives.
