NV Energy is continually competing and acquiring reliable, affordable power supplies for its customers. To that end, NV Energy is posting its recent Request For Proposal (RFP) for various power products.
Demand Response RFPs
NV Energy currently is opening three Demand Response RFPs:
- Programmable communicating thermostats and in-home displays.
- Demand response management systems.
- Demand response customer information systems.
Conservation RFIs and RFPs
NVEnergy withdrew it's Integrated Resource Plan filing on 7/20/09 as a result of questions regarding load forecast issues. Unfortunately this will delay the implementation of our Energy Efficiency programs. Consequently, the Request for Proposals scheduled to be issued have been postponed at this time pending resolution of these forecast issues. The scheduled Pre-Proposal Job Walk Meetings in Las Vegas, Nevada for 7/30/09 and 7/31/09 are hereby cancelled.
Renewable RFPs, RFOs
NV Energy issued a Spring 2010 RFP to interested parties with the intent of securing electric power requirements and the associated portfolio energy credits from renewable resources under terms and conditions favorable to NV Energy's customers. NV Energy is also issuing an RFO (Request for Offers) to interested parties with the intent of securing Nevada-qualified Portfolio Energy Credits (PCs) only (i.e., without bundled energy).
