Trucking

Interstate 80 runs west to Reno, Nevada and east to Salt Lake City, Utah. U.S. Highway 50 provides access west to Sacramento, California, and east to Salt Lake City and Denver, Colorado. Nevada State Route 278 runs north and south and connects Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 50.

Foreign Trade Zones

Northern Nevada has nearly 7,500 acres of Foreign Trade Zones. A Foreign Trade Zone is designated by the United States Customs Department and allows foreign and domestic merchandise to be admitted for operations such as storage, exhibition, assembly, manufacture, and processing, without being subject to formal Customs entry procedures, the payment of Customs duties or the payment of federal excise taxes.

Rail Service

The Union Pacific Railroad tracks pass through Eureka County near the Humboldt River and Beowawe, where freight service is available. The nearest Amtrak passenger service is available in Elko.

Bus Service

Currently, there is no bus service in Eureka County.

Airport

The Eureka County Airport is located 6 miles NW of Eureka, NV and offers a 7,300 ft, lighted, asphalt runway. Regularly scheduled commercial flight service is available in Ely, Nevada, about one hour east of Eureka. Elko Municipal Airport serves the county in the northern portion of Eureka County.
