Residential
With a little help from the natural resources in your own back yard, you may be able to generate a significant portion of your own electricity, save money on your energy bills, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and even improve your home's resale value. Plus the RenewableGenerations incentive program will help offset the installation costs of your solar PV or wind generating system. Small Business
“Small business” means a business conducted for profit which employs 500 or fewer full-time or part-time employees.
Increasing efficiency plus declining costs equal a better bottom line. Today's renewable energy systems are reliable, attractive, affordable and becoming more efficient all the time. Companies with less than 500 employees nationwide can receive a one-time cash incentive after approval and installation of a solar PV or wind generating system on their building.
Agriculture
“Agricultural property” means any real property employed for an agricultural use as defined in NRS 361A.030.
Hydro power is generated by using electricity generators to extract energy from moving water. Like most other alternate energy sources, micro-hydro solutions are emissions-free and have very low-impact on the environment. If you are an agriculture property owner and have a viable water source such as a river, creek or streams on your property you may want to consider installing a micro-hydro system.
Agriculture customers are also eligible for the WindGenerations incentive program which helps offset the costs of installing a small wind system.
Public Building 1. “Public and other property” means any real property, building or facilities which are owned, leased or occupied by:
(a) A public entity;
(b) A nonprofit organization that is recognized as exempt from taxation pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C. § 501(c)(3), as amended; or
(c) A corporation for public benefit as defined in NRS 82.021.
2. The term includes, without limitation, any real property, building or facilities which are owned, leased or occupied by:
(a) A church; or
(b) A benevolent, fraternal or charitable lodge, society or association.
3. The term does not include school property.
“Public entity” means a department, agency or instrumentality of the State or any of its political subdivisions.
Installing a renewable energy generating system such as solar PV or small wind generator provides clean, reliable, renewable energy and heightens your profile as an organization that is concerned about your community's shared natural resources. With the incentives offered through the RenewableGenerations program you can considerably offset your initial investment. After payback, energy cost savings add up year after year.
School
“School property” means any real property, building or facilities which are owned, leased or occupied by:
1. A public school as defined in NRS 385.007;
2. A private school as defined in NRS 394.103; or
3. An institution of higher education.
“Institution of higher education” means:
1. A university, college or community college which is privately owned or which is part of the Nevada System of Higher Education; or
2. A postsecondary educational institution, as defined in NRS 394.099, or any other institution of higher education.
Installing a renewable energy generating system in your school helps instill the value of energy conservation in your students while lowering your facility's monthly operating costs. Educational facilities across the nation are putting solar and wind into their power mix.
* HydroGenerations installation rebate for agriculture property only.
**Customer must apply for and receive approval for an installation rebate prior to installing a renewable energy system.
