SolarGenerations Opens March 24, 2010

Solar power is the result of converting sunlight into electricity. It's clean, sustainable, and getting more efficient all the time. NV Energy offers incentives to customers for installing approved photovoltaic system on their homes, small businesses, public buildings or schools.

NV Energy will begin taking applications for the SolarGenerations incentive program on March 24, 2010 at 12pm and the application period will remain open until the capacity from the first three steps is reserved. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis and reservations will be issued from available steps. Steps correspond to program years and have declining incentive values. The incentive and capacity values listed below are pending final approval by the  Nevada Legislative Commission.

Once the capacity in a step is fully reserved, subsequent reservations will be made from the next step. Although reservations may be made from future steps, incentives for a step may only be claimed after the program year that the step corresponds to begins. Program years begin on July 1 and end on June 30.

Example:

If you submit a SolarGenerations application and your reservation comes from capacity in step 2 because step 1 is full, you must build your project within 12 months of your date of approval, however you will only be able to claim your incentive after the 2011/12 program year begins on July 1, 2011.

Maximum Incentive Levels

Pending the approval by the Commission of NV Energy’s Annual Plan, the maximum incentives per meter per step will be::
