Toy Drive 2023 Finale

That's a Wrap

December 11, 2023

NV Energy capped off the final day of the of 25th annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive with employees donating more than 1,040 toys bikes and gift cards to help southern Nevada families in need have a happy holiday season.

For more than 15 years, the annual toy drive has been held at NV Energy’s headquarters in Las Vegas, near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Jones Avenue. It’s become a long-standing tradition for NV Energy teams to compete among themselves to help give back to the community.

“We love hosting Chet and the Toy Drive partners – including HELP of Southern Nevada – in our parking lot and seeing the amazing outpouring of support from the community,” said Tony Sanchez, Executive Vice President of Business and External Affairs for NV Energy. “Every year, we issue the challenge to our employees, and every year they deliver to the Toy Drive. This is just one way we enjoy giving back to the communities where we live and work. We look forward to continuing to host this event in years to come.”

Overall, this year’s Toy Drive filled 42 semitrucks with toys and collected 7,774 bikes and $802,389 in gift cards. All donations raised from the Toy Drive benefit HELP of Southern Nevada and additional nonprofits that serve thousands of families, so all southern Nevada children can have something special under the Christmas tree.
