Paperless Billing Terms & Conditions

Nevada Power Company and Sierra Pacific Power Company d/b/a NV Energy (collectively, “NV Energy”) are willing to offer and provide to you Paperless Billing (the “Service”) only upon your agreement that your access and use of the Service will be subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).  By accepting or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you are the customer of record for the NV Energy account that you are enrolling in or that is enrolled in the Service, or duly authorized to act on behalf of, and with the express consent of, the customer of record; and that you agree to these Terms and Conditions.  If you do not agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, NV Energy will not provide the Service to you.

Service Enrollment Requirements
In order to enroll in the Service, you must be an active NV Energy customer, have an eligible account, log in or register for “MyAccount” at nvenergy.com, and follow the instructions to register your account for the Service.  You agree that the information you provide to NV Energy can go through a verification process.  It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your contact information and user profile listed in “MyAccount” are current and accurate.  This includes, but is not limited to, name(s), address, phone number(s), e-mail address(es) and account numbers.  Changes can be made within your user profile online through “MyAccount.”  NV Energy is not responsible and shall have no liability for any processing errors or fees incurred if you do not provide accurate account or contact information.

Your use of the Service and/or agreement to these Terms and Conditions does not alter your liability or obligations that currently exist between you and NV Energy concerning your utility usage or other utility-related service.  You are responsible for any and all telephone access fees and/or Internet service fees that may be assessed by your telephone and/or Internet service provider.

None of the provisions in these Terms and Conditions supersede, modify or in any way mitigate your obligation to be bound by and comply with all applicable tariffs, rules or regulations related to your utility service.

Use of Electronic Communication
By accepting or otherwise using the Service, you agree that any and all notices, disclosures and communications regarding the Service between you and NV Energy, including these Terms and Conditions, may be made electronically, including by NV Energy posting to its website in accordance with applicable law.  Any electronic notice, disclosure or communication NV Energy makes will be considered made when transmitted by NV Energy.

Notification of Bills
You understand that, upon activation of the Service, you will no longer receive NV Energy paper bills through the mail.  Instead, NV Energy will use commercially reasonable efforts to send you an e-mail notification to the e-mail address listed on your account that your bill is available online through “MyAccount.”  In the event you do not receive notification, it is your responsibility to contact NV Energy.

Payment of Bills
Notwithstanding any notification failure, it is your sole responsibility to pay your NV Energy bills on time to avoid late fees, collection activity or disconnection of utility service.  Applicable late payment fees may apply.

Termination or Cancellation of Service
You may un-enroll from the Service at any time through “MyAccount” or by calling NV Energy at (702) 402-5555 (southern Nevada) or (775) 834-4444 (northern Nevada).  After you un-enroll, any future bills will be mailed to your current address on file with NV Energy.

If e-mails are returned as undeliverable, NV Energy reserves the right to un-enroll you in the Service, and return to sending you a paper bill.  You may re-enroll at any time after correcting any e-mail address error.  NV Energy reserves the right to cancel the electronic presentment of your bills at any time.

Your obligation to pay your NV Energy bill by the due date is not altered or modified in any way by any termination or cancellation of the Service.

Errors or Disputes
In case of errors or questions about your NV Energy “MyAccount” transactions, you should contact NV Energy at (702) 402-5555 (southern Nevada) or (775) 834-4444 (northern Nevada).  In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, you agree to resolve the dispute in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

Password and Security
You agree not to give or make available your password or other means to access your account to any unauthorized individuals.  If you permit authorized users or other persons to use the Service or your password or other means to access your account, you are responsible for any transactions that they authorize.  If you believe that your password or other means to access your account has been lost or stolen, or that someone may attempt to use the Service without your consent, you must immediately notify NV Energy by calling (702) 402-5555 (southern Nevada) or (775) 834-4444 (northern Nevada).

The Service’s policy with respect to use of your information will be in accordance with the NV Energy privacy statement.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Service and these Terms and Conditions may be modified or amended by NV Energy from time to time. In such event, NV Energy will provide notice to you in accordance with applicable law, which may be accomplished by posting such change on NV Energy’s website. Any use of the Services after NV Energy provides you with a notice of change will constitute your agreement to such change(s). You may terminate the Service if you do not agree with any such amendments.
